Private Morning tour. Today we will enjoy a private guided walking tour of Dubrovnik Old Town. Dubrovnik is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and undoubtedly Croatia’s most popular destination. The curtain of towering walls surrounds marble streets and baroque buildings exuding a pearly light in the Adriatic sun. The main pedestrian street, Stradun, is a wonderful mélange of cafés and shops bookended by a cluster of important monuments.
Afternoon at your leisure. See the town from above with a walk around its 16th-century stone walls. You can also hop aboard the cable car and ride to the top of Srđ Mountain for vistas of Dubrovnik and the nearby Elafiti Islands. Here you can explore the 19th-century Fort Imperijal (built during the Napoleonic Wars) before stretching your legs to enjoy unobstructed views of the city as you walk back down the hill.
Think about:
• Stroll up from Ploče gate past cliff-hugging villas and gardens, lemon and fig trees, to the pebbled beach, Sv. Jakov (St. Jacob).
• Go beyond the walls to enjoy the stunning surroundings. A ferry or kayak to Lokrum Island. Peacocks strut about as you wind your way along trails to the romantic ruins of the Benedictine monastery, olive groves, and your ideal swim spot.
• Also reachable by a ferry along the coast, Cavtat has the laid-back feel of a Mediterranean seaside village. Palm trees, cafes, and crowd-free restaurants line the bay.
• Tour and lunch at Trsteno Arboretum. Inside this historic garden (dating back to 1492!), you will reach the traditional family residence of your host Katija. Katija grows an organic garden by her house, which is where you will pick vegetables and herbs for your lunch along with the local catch of the day. It's a seasonal selection, so your menu will very much depend on the time of the year you are visiting. But everything is fresh and homegrown!

Day 3. Sept 13. A Day in Dubrovnik at Your Leisure |
Dubrovnik is a lovely walking city with restaurants, shops, beaches and plenty of nooks and crannies to explore.
OPTIONAL: Lokrum Kayak Tour: Lokrum Island is home to a botanical garden and ancient Benedictine monastery. Enjoy its idyllic walking paths, natural swimming pools, and colorful peacocks. It’s also popular among Game of Thrones fans as the filming location for Qarth. This private guided experience offers a unique perspective of Dubrovnik’s Old Town and the surrounding coastline via kayak. You will paddle along the city’s historic walls and the shores of Lokrum, with a stop at a secluded beach cave for swimming and snorkeling. Along the way, the guide will share stories about Dubrovnik’s history and legends. The tour lasts approximately 2.5 - 3 hours.
Take the 2k walk around the city wall. These ancient fortifications were built and rebuilt in the 13th, 14th and 15th centuries as the threat of Turkish invaders grew. At some points, the walls are almost 20 feet thick and 82 feet high. They enclose the entire Old Town, protected by strategically placed forts and towers. Atop the city walls, you’ll enjoy some of the best views of Dubrovnik’s tiled-roof buildings and the blue sea.
Cable Car. Take the cable car up the mountain and then extend your enjoyment of the fabulous views of the southern Dalmatian coast by walking the trail back down the mountain at your leisure. The approximately 30 minute walk down Srd Hill drops you off right outside of the Old Town city walls. At the top, you’ll find an elaborate snack bar that offers a small selection of drinks to be enjoyed on the two viewing terraces.
Medieval Pharmacy. After remarkable 700 years of working, this medieval pharmacy is considered to be one of the oldest in Europe .
War Photo Limited. Beautiful and horrifying, the exhibitions focus on modern warfare, featuring lately the violence in the Pakistan and Afghanistan. This museum is highly emotional.

Overnight in Dubrovnik.
No visit to Dalmatian coast is complete without some quality time on the Adriatic sea, and what better way to do this than by taking a motor yacht day trip to experience the hidden caves, beaches and coves of Dalmatia`s most beautiful, and pristine islands.
This morning, we head to the Dubrovnik Marina where we will be welcomed by our crew and embark on a private motor yacht. We'll have some time to explore the island of Korcula. The island's 1000 years of history surrounded by fortification walls and towers will take us back to the time of the Venetian Republic. Traditional crafts and unsurpassed skills in stone masonry and shipbuilding have made Korcula almost as legendary as its most famous world traveling son, Marco Polo.
After our private tour of Korcula, you will have time to enjoy lunch and leisure before we meet back with your crew and sail to Hvar island. The sunny days, surrounding crystal blue waters, seductive coves, ancient villages, innumerable lavender fields, olive plantations and vineyards, enchanting stone streets and old Venetian palaces are the reasons why everybody today is talking about Hvar.
Arrival to Hvar Island in the late afternoon.
Included dinner.
Overnight in Hvar. Please note that we will not be staying overnight on the yacht. It is for day-travel to the islands only.
Today we head into the heartland of Hvar, its vineyard and wineries. Hvar’s wine tradition has been documented as early as Greek times with an agricultural colony known today as the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Stari Grad Plain, which has continued uninterruptedly since their arrival 2500 years ago! Winemaking has almost been perfected on the island so of course, it is something we are going to experience. After a busy morning of culture and wine appreciation, we will enjoy an included traditional lunch in a local tavern before returning to our hotel.
The rest of the day is at your leisure in Hvar.

These islands are famous for their inlets and caves, the most famous being Modra Špilja (the Blue Cave), which is accessible only by boat. On a sunny day, sunlight beams through an underwater passage, and the effect of the sea bottom reflecting and illuminating the cave with a glowing azure color is incredible!
